The vote is assigned on the basis of 4 written reports and a final exam. Each of the 4 reports will examine one of the chapters of Alessandrini’s book and will no longer than 3 pages in 1.5 line spacing with font "Times New Roman 11."
In a report, the student will construct complete and coherent argument on one chapter (in the first half) and (in the second half) her personal comments. The first 2 reports will be sent to the teacher by email (bellanca@unifi.it) at the end of the sixth week of the course. The second 2 reports at the end of the twelfth week of the course. The time stated for delivery is 18 noon on the day specified; sending email to be added to the "receipt requested" to ensure receipt by the teacher.
The first 2 reports account for 15% of the final grade, the other 2 to 25%. If the student is not satisfied with the vote obtained on a report, must do it again on a different chapter.
The final exam is a written test which assigns 60% of the total score. It takes 1.5 hours and the student must answer 3 questions of the 8 proposals. If the student is not satisfied with the final vote, must remake the final written test or, failing that, an oral interview. Students not attending will prepare eight written reports, send email to the teacher and then sit the written or, failing that, an oral examination on the entire program.
