Type of Assessment
The final examinitaion will be written (three questions to which students will answer in a descriptive way) and oral (only one question on a subject freely chosen by the student)
Course program
The course deals with the development of the economic theory from Mercantilism and Classical Political Economy up to the most recent trends of the economic thought. A particular deepening will be dedicated to the theoretical and economic policy stances of economists such as A. Smith, D. Ricardo, K. Marx, the founders of Marginalism, A. Marshall, J. Schumpeter, J. M: Keynes, M. Friedman, and the new classical macroeconomics.
