The course aims to provide students with both theoretical and analytical tools for designing, planning and promoting sport events. First, students will learn the main modern theories concerning the Event and Sport Management discipline, such as "sport team brand equity" and "sport fans membership". Next, students will form teamworks to empirically assess the effectiveness of a specific sport event strategy, thus suggesting managerial and practical implications.

Specifically in Italy, the ability to design, plan, and sponsor a sport event is becoming crucial for tourist destinations. Hence, the discipline of Event and Sport Management is a key competence for modern managers.
The course aims to provide students with both theoretical and analytical tools for sport event planning and promotion. First, students will learn the main modern theories concerning the Event and Sport Management discipline, such as sport team brand equity and sport fans membership. Next, students will form teamworks to empirically assess the effectiveness of a specific sport event. Specifically, students will learn how to create a validated survey and collect fans' perceptions of a real sport event, thus suggesting managerial implications to improve the related designing and planning.
