The course aims to deepen the knowledge of some sectors of financial intermediation (asset management companies, insurance companies, pension funds). The course offers an overview of financial systems.

The course aims to develop knowledge on financial intermediation sectors other than traditional banking. In particular, the student will be able to develop skills related to the managerial and organizational issues in the financial institutions. The student will be able to analyze the main services and products offered by financial institutions on financial markets. The objectives of the course also include the increase of knowledge on the main regulatory issues that concern the financial sectors analyzed, defining the connections between the evolution of the rules and the management of financial intermediaries. The course also allows the development of communication skills and understanding of news and studies related to the financial system, through the use of a specialized lexicon and the analysis of real case studies.
