Course program
1. The first will present on the themes of the pedagogy of Social Pedagogy, considering in addition to the topics related to interculture, interreligious dialogue and the culture of peace, also contexts, practices and specific documentation. Following, using the contributions of texts, articles and essays, some in English. It will then be introduced how the reference to peace requires an educational investment that finds its presuppositions in a perspective of mutual respect, the enhancement of diversity, the development of critical and decentralized thinking, cooperation, collaboration and creativity. As opposed to the idea that peace should only be understood as the period following the conclusion of a war.
2. The second will consider the issue of conflicts and non-violent communication, the appropriate and responsible use of language, understanding and conflict management. Through the contributions of Rosenberg and other authors, both theoretical and operational models will be considered for observing, understanding and improving relationships, the use of words and their generating and destructive potential. In the light of these reflections, the elements that characterize the conflicts will be analyzed, the different types in particular in the educational field.
