Type of Assessment - Last names A-E
In line with the new guidelines issued by the University of Florence with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, note that the "Business Organization" course exam for the academic year 2021/2022 will take place according to the following rules:
1) For those who, in line with the new requisites required by the University of Florence, ask to take the exam on line, the exam will be oral.
2) For the other students, the exam will be based on a written test. To supplement the written test, a subsequent oral test can be requested by the instructors (in this case, if the student does not show up, this will be reported as "WITHDRAWN") or optionally by the student. In both cases, the oral test is admitted only in case of sufficient written test (18/30).
Moreover, please note the following:
• The contents of the exam cover the whole program.
• The examination method and the tests will be the same for attending and non-attending students.
• Those who will sit the 6 ects-exam will only have a written test which will ground on the material indicated in section “Testi di riferimento”.
The written test will last no more than 60 minutes and will comprise both multiple-choice and open-ended questions.
The multiple-choice questions will be maximum 15; the open-ended questions will be at most 5.
The structure of the test will not change during the year (June 2022-February 2023); the number of questions may instead change and will in any case be communicated at the beginning of the exam.
The learning evaluation will follow these criteria.
Regarding the multiple-choice questions:
a) Each correct answer will result in the attribution of 1 point;
b) Each wrong answer will result in a penalty of 0.10 points;
c) Any answer skipped or left blank will not involve any penalty.
Regarding the open-ended questions:
the weight of each question will be indicated next to it (e.g. it is worth 2 points or worth 3 points, etc.).
The open-ended questions and the oral exam will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
a) Completeness in the discussion of the topic (i.e. in the articulation of the answer with respect to the contents of the question).
b) Language (i.e. ability to express concepts using an appropriate and technical language or the correct terminology and meaning instead of generic statements).
c) Critical re-elaboration of the information presented in the course materials (i.e. ability to explain concepts without repeating the contents of the materials in a slavish way but giving proof of having understood the topic).
The assessment of the written test will result from the assessments of both the closed- and open- questions.
The final grade, including the sum of the evaluation of the written and, in some cases, the oral tests, is expressed out of thirty with possible mention of honors or in the “rejected” mode. It will be entered in the online system and visible on the student’s personal page who, in accordance with the law, can accept or reject the evaluation.
