The course aims at consolidating the knowledge of English language, in particular grammar and vocabulary (from General English to Business English). The lessons, workshop-like and interactive, consist of exercises, reading, listening and debates on current topics and the business world.

Learning Objectives
This course aims at consolidating the knowledge of English language at a higher intermediate level - B2, Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
Prerequisites
B1/B1+ level of the English language
Teaching Methods
The course schedule consists of a weekly two-hour class across both semesters (48 hours in total, 6 CFU)
The teaching focuses on student-centred learning. This teaching and learning approach provides interaction and exercises in class and exercises at home, in addition to English texts and audiovisual resources.
Type of Assessment
Attending students:
Attending students must participate in at least 70% of the course (17 classes across the two semesters).
- Students must complete successfully the following Assessment:
1. Language exercises (grammar, vocabulary, use of English)
2. Reading and listening comprehension
3. Business English
Non-attending students:
- Final exam
- The Final exam will consist of four different sections: a) Listening; b) Reading; c) Grammar and vocabulary; d) Writing), followed by an Oral test on the coursework from Semester 1 and 2 (from General English to Business English)
