The course focuses on the different employment contracts and on the development of the different phases of the relationship, up to its termination, through the study of the different sources of law.

Learning Objectives
KNOWLEDGE: The course concerns the study of the fundamental institutes of the private labor law and of the trade union law.
SKILLS: The boundaries between law and economics are not always clear. The student of economic subjects is also required to have knowledge of the foundations of labor law, which are important on the microeconomic and macroeconomic level. The course will also address the most topical issues: the technological evolution, the role of the union, the relationship between labor law and bankruptcy law. Seminars will consist of simulating processes.
SKILLS ACQUIRED AT THE END OF THE COURSE: knowledge of the main labor law issues, which are relevant both at the macroeconomic level (industrial relations) and at the microeconomic level (individual employment relationship), as well as the dynamics of the labor market in light of the new contractual types, even consequent to technological innovations.
Teaching Methods
Frontal teaching lessons: total 48 hours.
Guided visits: Court of Florence, Labor Law Section.
Type of Assessment
The exam is oral. The student will have to identify a sentence of particular relevance and represent its content in a concise, systematic way and deepen the themes dealt with therein.
The exam will develop on some questions, not less than three, in relation to the employment relationship and trade union law.
