ECTS Tables
The ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) Tables of the University of
Florence are available on the University’s official website. These tables have been prepared in
accordance with the ECTS Users’ Guide 2015 and are intended to facilitate grade conversion within
the framework of international mobility programmes. They provide a transparent description of how
the University applies the national grading scale.
The tables are organized by degree programme (or degree class) and by academic level (Bachelor’s,
Master’s, and Single-Cycle Degree Programmes). They include the following information:
- the national grading scale currently in use, highlighted in yellow within the tables;
- the statistical distribution of positive grades awarded to students enrolled in a specific degree programme (or degree class);
- the cumulative percentages, also highlighted in yellow, which represent the progressive sum of the percentages associated with each grade;
- a comparison with the former ECTS grading scale (A, B, C, D, E), for partner institutions that still adopt it.
ECTS Grading Scale
A – Excellent – 10%
B – Very Good – 25%
C – Good – 30%
D – Satisfactory – 25%
E – Sufficient – 10%
